Mission Statement:

Grandsons of Abraham is a catholic Church based rescue center in Mombasa, working with the community in rescuing , rehabilitating and offer skill training and remitting the children back to their families or relatives. we believe in the strength of working together with all the stakeholders.

OBJECTIVES

	Tries to reunite the child with family
	To do street work so as to - Rescue children from the streets promote child's rights and discourage social evils.
	Increase child's self image.
	Increase community involvement
	Increase Networking.

Activities:

*We provide food, clothing medical care, basic education, recreational facilities, counseling and shelter to 25 - 30 street children

*There is a garden where the boys have planted fruits and vegetable. The boys also feed rabbits, chicken and guinea pigs and a dog. these activities help they boys to be responsible and improve their self image.

*The staff conduct regular streets works to rescue children from the streets by inviting them to the center. it helps give a rough estimate of children on the streets.

*We network with other street children programs, schools, religious groups and local authorities to help us monitor the progress of resettled children.

*We have initiate an outreach program with the aim of community participation and involvement.

*We assist older children with skill training in either carpentry, tailoring, mechanics, flowering, gardening, barber ship, masonry, welding etc

*Through the papasa program we cater for children still on the streets. we invite them for a football match and lunch. this gives us the opportunity to talk to them about their lives..

What can you do to Help?

While in our program; the child receives counseling, informal education or vocational training and basic needs such as food clothing, healthcare and spiritual guidance. all donation in cash and kind will he highly appreciated.
