Biography:
I am Bro. Frank TenHoopen from Michigan, USA born in January 25, 1952. I have been working in Kenya since 1979, Initially I was involved in formation of small Christian communities in Kilifi Parish before I started working as the coordinator for the Archdiocesan Youth programs and Christian Students ( Youth in Schools). In the year 2000 the Archbishop asked me to assist in raising funds for a Archdiocesan Pastoral Center. Since then to date I have been working on the construction of the Pastoral Center; the first phase of this construction is now complete. Solidarity with Girls in Distress (SOLGIDI) is another program I am involved in. With help from Sr. Lea Ackermann from Germany and other well-wishers we help young girls from difficult situations. Some who are children of commercial sex workers. |
