Dar es Salaam has traditionally been the missionary doorway to Tanzania and the heart of Africa. Today, Maryknoll has a limited physical presence in this coastal city of three million inhabitants but its heritage lives on.

Biography Reflections Ministry Michael Snyder is chaplain to the Catholic Community at the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences. He returned to Tanzania after many years as Maryknoll's Vocation animator in the U.S. He is a native of New Jersey.   Biography Reflections Ministry       John also returns to Africa in April after many years working in the United States. He hopes to continue in Parish work the he began in Tanzania, and continue to build Maryknoll's presence within the Church.. .
