God has called me to minister to the poor in the three Nairobi slum villages of Mukuru Ruben, Mukuru Kwa Njenga, and Lunga Lunga. Like life, it ahs been a joy and a struggle. It's a great joy to see people who would be crippled and blind and sick for the rest of their life get healed. Truly, the lame walk, the blind see, and the poor have the Good News preached to them. The struggle and stress comes from not being able to help everyone who is sick or in dire need.

God has miraculously given me the means to help an average of 330 sick people each month in four mission hospitals and three Catholic dispensaries. Of course, there is the constant burden of helping the children of these sick people and helping the children of single mothers who have died and left them. But we do what we can. My health workers make my ministry possible. All of us try to remember the words of Mother Theresa who said: "We are not here to serve the poor, but to serve Christ in the Poor."
