Countries where Maryknoll Works
Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers are presently working in five African
countries – Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan, Tanzania, and Namibia. We
also had a presence in Egypt and Mozambique until very recently. As
modern-day missionaries, we strive to be sensitive to and respectful of
the histories and cultures of the peoples who we serve. We
strive to understand their roots – their
bond to the land, lakes, mountains, oceans, forests, rivers, deserts, and
plains that form their heritage.
