Brother Ed Redmond teaches auto mechanics at the Mikindani Catholic Youth Polytechnic school in Mombasa. Located on the Kenya coast, the Institute is under the auspices of the Catholic Archdiocese. Ed not only teaches classes to the students, but he is also helping build a new workshop. Before Ed's arrival, the students were trying to learn mechanics without much hands-on experience. Now they have tools and motors on which to practice. As part of the ongoing improvements at the school, Ed recently took the initiative to repaint all the buildings with the assistance of the students and other staff.
